Dance Dance Dance

Saturday night was the all anticipated dance recital. Both of our girls were participating. It was a new and exciting experience for me as I (don't laugh) had never even been to a dance recital. I definitely got a workout with Evelyn in three dances and Emelia in two. Both girls did very well. Our family really supported them with their attendance and with gifts as you can see. Thanks to all who helped make this a special event for the girls.

Celebrations Continue

This week has followed with several more celebrations. Evelyn's year end school program was Tuesday. She is having a tough time with ending this time with friends and her teachers. She said that same day how much she missed them. Evelyn had a very good kindergarten year. They received a diploma in the program. The program did run a little long but Emelia made a friend that helped pass the time.
Another celebration was tonight. Someone is having one of those marker birthdays. Count the candles on the cake and multiply by ten. :) Hope you have a great day Jen.

Celebrations

This weekend was full of celebrations. It started with Shelby's (our niece) high school graduation. Congratulations on such a milestone. We love you. Then Saturday was party day as it was Evelyn's sixth birthday. That is just too hard to believe. This year she wanted a Hannah Montana party. At least it was an easy theme. She partied all day attending her friend Grace's swimming party prior to her party. We were thankful the rain held off for both parties, but we did set up the food in the garage just in case. We were able to enjoy entertainment from the crew at the back yard stage. They all were great. Miss Emelia wanted many turns at the mic. She is such a ham. Thanks to all for such a great day for Miss Evelyn.

Hoping all who may take a peak here had a great weekend and Mother's Day. I had not thought until today how much our household had changed since last Mother's Day. Last year at this time we were waiting to make travel plans for Emelia. Many of you told me how much change would come with a second child in our family and you were right. It is amazing how different our two girls are, and yet how those differences make our family complete (most of the time). We are certainly blessed and even though it is a challenge, I would not have things any other way. We are so thankful how God has worked and formed our family. I am also so thankful for the Christian mothers Scott and I both have. We were able to spend some with both of them today.
P.S. - Emelia wasn't too happy with getting her picture made. She slept late and we rushed her getting ready this morning.
